Light doesn't just illuminate a space. It reveals it.

I came up through a formal photography program, spent years in the studio obsessing over light and flash composites, and made a very deliberate decision to apply all of that to architectural and interior photography. Over a decade later I'm still obsessed with the craft and it shows in the work.

I work with architects, designers, developers, and hospitality brands who want photography that's technically precise, visually compelling, and actually useful. I understand the vision, I show up prepared, and I don't need a lot of direction to figure out what a space needs.

Good light doesn't always exist. I bring it with me.

“Warm contemporary kitchen interior with woven pendant lighting and natural wood finishes.”

A selection of recent and notable work.

About

Black and white photo of a person taking a picture of themselves using a smartphone in a large, spiral staircase with a circular railing, viewed from above.

Gary Kasl has been shooting luxury residential, hospitality, and editorial spaces for over a decade. Formally trained at San Diego City College, he came into this industry with a foundation in studio lighting and flash composites that most architectural photographers simply don't have. That training, combined with a genuine obsession with the craft, is what
shows up in every image.

His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Dwell, and Modern Luxury, and includes landmark projects like the Razor House and the Crescent House by Wallace Cunningham.

In 2026 he's bringing that same approach to PMRE in Las Vegas as a featured
workshop instructor.
